Doha, Qatar — The crown prince of Qatar says he’s “very happy” with the decision to pull out of the United Nations Security Council, and he says his government will not tolerate any interference in the region.
In a rare appearance Friday on ABC News’ “This Week,” Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who was the Saudi crown prince in the past, said he is “happy” that the U.N. Security Council will not take action against Qatar.
“Our position on the international stage has been consistent since day one.
We want to be a constructive partner.
And we want to work with other countries on the world stage to reach our shared goal,” he said.
Qatar says it has no intention of stopping its construction projects in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain and Bahrain.
